Full-Time Student Support Assistant

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest is accepting applications for a full-time Student Support Assistant at the Newbern campus. 

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a technical diploma, Associate degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience working in a post-secondary institution preferred.
  • Evidence of excellent communication and computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Possess organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities consist of data entry such as entering attendance, scanning, and uploading documents into the student information system.
  • Review and process applications and registration for dual enrollment students.
  • Request and download student transcripts.
  • Assist with review of dual enrollment grants, verification, certification, and reconciliations processes.
  • Responsible for collecting and tracking required dual enrollment paperwork.
  • Assist with on-campus tours as needed.
  • Assist with application processes and events at local high schools when needed.
  • Assist team members when necessary to enable the success of the department.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dual Enrollment Coordinator, Lead Student Services Coordinator, Vice Presidents, and President.
