The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest is accepting applications for a full-time evening Cosmetology Associate Instructor at our Newbern campus. Hours are Monday through Friday from 1:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.

Required Qualifications
· Current, valid Cosmetologist License issued by the TN State Board of Cosmetology.
· Current, valid Cosmetology Instructor’s License issued by the TN State Board of Cosmetology.
· Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a licensed Cosmetologist.
· Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
· Must show evidence of teaching ability.
· Possess organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
· Must possess computer skills.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Must have the ability to complete reports/paperwork and meet deadlines.
Skills
· Provide instruction to students in all areas of the Cosmetology program.
· Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.
· Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.
· Maintain good public relations with business and industry.
· Work in cooperation with post-secondary Cosmetology instructor to provide an optimum training experience.
· Collect live work fees and maintain appropriate documentation.
· Other duties as assigned.
