About
The Barbering Program provides students with the necessary skills needed to pass the Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber’s practical and written examinations. Students who are interested in pursuing a career in barbering, will receive instruction in personal and shop safety rules and state regulations, sanitation and sterilization standards, and the proper use of equipment and implements commonly found in a barbershop. Additionally, students receive instruction in the anatomy and physiology of hair and scalp, the psychology of sales and first aid.
