Job Title: Welding Instructor Assistant Department: Welding
Pay Rate: $12.00/hour.
Employment Period: through Spring 2026 trimester
Hours per Week: Up to 10 Hours (2:00 - 4:00 PM unless instructed differently) Location: Newbern Location

Job Brief
The Welding work study will be responsible for the cleaning/maintenance of equipment, cutting metal to required sizes/lengths, inventory of consumables, and other duties as requested by the instructor.
Responsibilities
Clean welding equipment
Maintain preventative maintenance of welding equipment.
Ability to use all welding lab equipment.
Grind weld booths/tables/ positioning brackets as needed.
Maintain inventory of welding consumables
Maintain inventory of metal used for welding.
Collect and dispose of scrap metal for recycling.
Minimum Qualifications
Pell eligible per FAFSA
Attention to detail.
