Adjunct InstructorThe Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest is accepting applications for aa part time Adjunct Instructor for multiple programs for all campuses. (Newbern, Ripley, Covington, Bells, and Union City).

Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the principles and methods of good teaching and supervision as evidenced by a rating of education and experience.
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office programs and other basic computer software and skills needed for the teaching profession.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships and to deal tactfully with students, faculty, staff, industry partners, and the public.
- Strong interpersonal skills; effective oral and written communication skills; and excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary diploma preferred.
- Willing to work a flexible and varying schedule as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized, safe, and stable learning environment.
- Utilize assessment tools/techniques to measure student competencies.
- Administer/proctor tests for students and outside organizations.
- Utilize Banner to record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily.
- Demonstrate a commitment to student success by providing guidance to students regarding course progress, and academic and disciplinary issues.
- Coordinate all disciplinary issues with the administration and Lead Student Services Coordinator.
- Coordinate the need for supplies with the instructor and make recommendations for items needed for the program.
