The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest is accepting applications for part-time Cosmetology Instructors for the day and evening programs at the Newbern Main Campus.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, valid Cosmetologist License issued by the TN State Board of Cosmetology.
  • Current, valid Cosmetology Instructor’s License issued by the TN State Board ofCosmetology.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a licensed Cosmetologist.
  • Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
  • Must show evidence of teaching ability.
  • Possess organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
  • Must possess computer skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must have the ability to complete reports/paperwork and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction to students in all areas of the Cosmetology program.
  • Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.
  • Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.
  • Maintain good public relations with business and industry.
  • Work in cooperation with lead Cosmetology instructor to provide an optimum training experience.
  • Collect live work fees and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

Commensurate with education and experience and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
