The Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Northwest held its Spring In-Service Training on March 6 at the Ripley campus, with 128 faculty and staff members in attendance. The day brought together local leaders, guest speakers, and college personnel for training, professional development, and campus-wide engagement.
Several distinguished guests, including Crockett County Mayor Gary Reasons, Town of Gates Mayor Dewayne Dixon, and Mr. Logan Stafford, Field Representative for Congressman David Kustoff, welcomed faculty and staff. Each delivered brief remarks, offering encouragement and support for TCAT Northwest’s mission.
This year’s professional development theme, “Rebuilding and Refocusing,” guided the day’s training sessions. Participants received updates and instructions on strategic planning, Title VI, and Title IX compliance. In addition, Officer Howell Starnes provided Active Shooter Training, equipping faculty and staff with critical safety protocols.
